Interest rates are a main concern for investors. Janet Yellen, Federal Reserve Chair, is out with commentary:
“A further adjustment of the federal funds rate would likely be appropriate,” at the March FOMC meeting, says Janet Yellen in a just-released speech.
Her rather clear language echoes that of a long list of other Fed speakers this week suggesting markets had it wrong by not pricing in a move this month.
Yellen also says the Fed is not behind the inflation curve, and a gradual pace of tightening remains appropriate.
Investors should prepare their portfolios accordingly.
