Several key stocks to watch this week are reporting earnings. Citigroup (NYSE:C), CSX (NYSE:CSX) and United Healthcare Group (NYSE:UNH) on Jan 16; Bank of America, Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI), U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB) and Alcoa (NYSE:AA) on Jan. 17; IBM (NYSE:IBM), American Express, Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and Canadian Pacific (NYSE:CP) on Jan. 18; Schlumberger (NYSE:SLB), SunTrust Banks (NYSE:STI) and Kansas City Southern (NYSE:KSU) on Jan. 19.
Key Stocks To Watch This Week: Detroit Auto Show
It is a big year for cars. The North American International Auto Show kicks off next week. While discussions and analysis on the latest model introductions, NAFTA, electric vehicles, self-driving cars and new U.S. tax laws will be heard at displays, press conferences and on the sidelines — it’s guidance updates that could steal the show.
The coinciding Deutsche Bank Global Auto Industry Conference in Detroit includes presentations from Ford (NYSE:F), General Motors (NYSE:GM), Cooper-Standard (NYSE:CPS), Hyundai (OTCPK:HYMLF), Dana (NYSE:DAN), Magna International (NYSE:MGA), Fiat Chrysler (NYSE:FCAU), Nissan (OTCPK:NSANY), Toyota (NYSE:TM), Honda (NYSE:HMC), Volkswagen (OTCPK:VLKAY), BMW (OTCPK:BMWYY), Cooper Tire & Rubber (NYSE:CTB), Autolive (NYSE:ALV) and Adient (NASDAQ:ADNT). There’s also talks from Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and Mobileye (NYSE:MBLY) that could create some ripples.
Initial Public Offerings
We have two IPOs that we are watching next week, and as such make our key stocks to watch this week list. These are ADT (NYSE:ADT) and Nine Energy Services (Pending:NINE) on Jan 19.
There are several lockup period expirations this week. These include LexinFintech (NASDAQ:LX) and IClick Interactive Asia (Pending:ICLK). There are also a bunch of secondary expirations, which could trigger some heavy trading activity this week. OneMain (NYSE:OMF), Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ALNY), Third Point Reinsurance (NYSE:TPRE), Univar (NYSE:UNVR), US Foods (NYSE:USFD), Abeona Therapeutics (NASDAQ:ABEO), Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACHN), Everbridge (NASDAQ:EVBG), Floor & Decor (NYSE:FND), Jeld-Wen (NYSE:JELD), Calyxt (NASDAQ:CLXT), Akari Therapeutics (NASDAQ:AKTX), Radcom (NASDAQ:RDCM), CUI Global (NASDAQ:CUI) and BlueLinx (NYSE:BXC) on Jan. 16; Heat Biologics (NASDAQ:HTBX) on Jan. 17 and Ignyta (NASDAQ:RXDX) on Jan. 18.

We con continue to monitor this and major institutions will report this week American Express (NYSE:AXP), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), Citigroup (C), Capital One Financial (NYSE:COF), Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS), JPMorgan (JPM) and Synchrony Financial (NYSE:SYF) all disclose numbers on Jan. 16.
Other Key Days
FTD Companies (NASDAQ:FTD) on Jan. 17; ABM Industries (NYSE:ABM) and Monster Beverage (NASDAQ:MNST) on Jan. 18 have analysts days. Tiffany (NYSE:TIF) will provide a sales update on on Jan. 17. Finally, Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE:JEC and Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ:WBA) on Jan. 17, have shareholder meetings. There is also a key meeting for Remark Holdings (NASDAQ:MARK) on Jan. 19 that we will be watching.
