Hamas on Sunday launched rockets from Gaza that triggered air-raid sirens as far away as Tel Aviv for the first time in months, the Associated Press reported.
There weren’t any immediate reports of casualties or damage in what likely was the first long-range rocket attack from Gaza since January.
The military arm of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group later Sunday said it fired rockets at nearby communities along the border with Gaza.
Eight projectiles crossed into Israel after being launched from the area of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, according to the Israeli military.
